In The Lead.

(our Pandemic tally) FINALLY! We've been behind since last Wednesday but at 12:30pm this afternoon we pulled one game ahead. That's after 10 games yesterday and 7 games (so far) today... oh my goodness. It's ridiculous! Now that we're ahead I think it might be time to put it away for a little while. I want my table back!

(The game board after game number 37)

We celebrated with nachos. And chocolate milk for dessert. Seemed appropriate, don't you agree?

Other good news, I bought these mums at Home Depot this week. I decided it was time I at least tried to make it look like I care about my little dirt patch out front. Besides, I was tired of just growing weeds. I'm hoping these last at least a couple of months, or until it's time to decorate for Christmas. Then maybe if I put some lights up it won't be so obvious that I don't take care of my garden...

Next piece of good news, we are almost finished writing thank you cards for all of these marvelous wedding gifts we received! My goodness there were a lot of gifts! They don't even all fit in this tiny apartment but we seem to be managing alright :) I feel bad that it's taken us so long to get the thank yous out but we finally made some time today, turned on Incredibles and wrote a whole bunch of them. It was very productive.

Steven finished his training with Rural Metro and will be starting full time soon. I'll be sad not to have him home with me every day but I suppose a paycheck might be nice and it will give me the opportunity to go out and find a job for myself.
I just registered for a few classes at the community college here in town. I'm going to take a series of four business classes and, the one I'm most excited about, a voice over class!! Hopefully I'll find out how to get some voice over work in the Seattle industry sometime in the near future. I think that would be so much fun!!

We've been enjoying the Enumclaw library. We're going to make it our goal to watch (and maybe at some point own) every John Wayne movie ever made. McClintock was last week and this week we've got Donovan's Reef.
We've also been watching the Seinfeld series. Uncle Scott was nice enough to lend us the first two seasons on DVD but we've only got one DVD left, so tonight will be our last night of watching 5 episodes of Seinfeld before we fall asleep. This is probably for the best.
Wow, our life isn't super exciting when you write it all out like that is it? But, we're having a marvelous time and it might be a long while before Steven gets to spend three straight weeks at home with me. I'm going to make the most of our time together (so bring on the board games and library DVDs!!!)
